Please note that all models are not available in all wood types and rare woods can have manufacturing delays up to 5-6 weeks. Available woods are red oak (Akagashi), white oak (Shirakashi), Isu no Ki, Sunuke, Tsubaki (Camellia), Hon Biwa (Loquat), Kokutan Murasaki (Purple Ebony), Shima Kokutan (Asian Ebony), Hon Kokutan (African Ebony), and Buna. We decided to separate the different shapes of Bokken and offer them in all types of wood. Our weapons are selected according to the specialties of each workshop, the time of manufacture as well as the pricing. The wooden weapons proposed by Seido are manufactured by one of the last four traditional workshop in the south of Japan, in the region of Miyakonojo (Kyushu), Horinouchi, Nidome, Matsuzaki and Aramaki (learn more about the workshops on our Artisans Presentation Page).
